I noticed a lot of people have added pictures to the map on the front page of the website, which is really neat. I'm glad to see it. So I'm wondering, if you took the time to add a picture to the map why not add the same picture to your profile here in the forum as an avatar?? It doesn't have to be a picture of you, just a picture to associate with you!

It's not hard!! Go to your profile (top of page), then at the bottom of the page that comes up go to the very bottom. Click the browse button next to "Upload avatar from your machine" and find a picture to use. Then click submit!

I GUESS IM NOT SMART ENUF

When using tinypic.com copy the text in the box "Direct Link for Layouts" and paste it into the Avatar control panel section in your profile marked "Link to off-site Avatar".

I've had trouble a couple times uploading a picture from my computer even when the picture is the right size. I haven't figured that one out. But I haven't had a problem with linking to tinypic.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know!!

I use photobucket myself--- after you get your pictures loaded into your photobucket.com album you can then click on which picture you like then look for the resize tab-- it has avatar option -- click that , then copy the direct link on the right hand side of the page then paste that link on your Turkeyshoot.net profile page at the bottom under avatars use the bottom option --link to off site avatar
Hope this helps Dustcha

Photobucket is good too. The main reason I use tinypic for most things is because you don't have to register to use it.

The advantage to photobucket is that you have an account that stores all the pics you've uploaded so you never have to search for them!!

In reference to the "map" on the front page.... it's been gone a long time. After being free for several years they decided to start charging and it wasn't worth the price.

Was meant for those who don't know how to post pics. I use photo bucket and copy paste the IMG code for pics and URL for avatars.
