1)KEEP IT CLEAN - NO Bashing or badmouthing. Everyone wants opinions and yours are welcome, but use common sense! This is a public place and hiding behind a "username" will not keep you out of trouble. All postings are subject to being deleted or moved. Repeated misbehavior may get you banned.
2)POST IN THE RIGHT PLACE - The forum has catagories or sections, so that you and others can find things! The subject line should be relevant to your post.
3)ADVERTISING - Soliciting business, posting or chatting about your products, services, website links, shooting house or event information is prohibited UNLESS you are a Turkeyshoot.net Member/Supporter. (Members/Supporters are those who pay to advertise on Turkeyshoot.net a.k.a. Turkeyshoot.com). If you were paying to advertise on this site would you feel that it was fair for everyone else to do it for free? It takes time and money to keep this site going, be respectful of our advertisers who help make this site available to you. Anything construde as advertising will be deleted and may get you banned. 4)PHONE NUMBERS & WEB LINKS - You may NOT post direct links or phone numbers of builders, shooting houses, manufacturers, suppliers or other websites for anyone that is not a paid advertiser on Turkeyshoot.net, it's not fair to the paid supporters and advertisers on this site. You can always use PM or email.
5)FOR SALE, WANTED OR FOR TRADE - Must be posted in THAT section of the forum. Shooters and Member Builders may post freely in that section of the forum (Members are those who pay to advertise on Turkeyshoot.net a.k.a. Turkeyshoot.com). You may sell/trade things not related to shooting. Postings made by anyone we feel is a builder for profit and not a Member Builder will be deleted and they may be banned. Limit your items to one per post, (unless the items go together) it elimiates confusion about what has or hasn't been sold. Bumping (see below) is allowed to keep your post alive. If you have sold or found your item please edit your post and add SOLD or FOUND. Postings in this section will be deleted after 90 days if not bumped.
6)BUMPING - Bumping is allowed. The most recent postings are always listed first in the forum. If you posted something, ie a question or for sale item, and it doesn't seem to be getting much attention or your not getting an answer you need.... just reply to your original post and put the word Bump in it, you don't have to say anything else in it. This puts your orginal post back up at the top of the listings.
7)PICTURES - Post all the pictures you want! Especially in Braggin Rights, or the for sale section, everyone loves to 'see' what you've got.
They're easy to add to your post by using one of the free image hosting sites on the web.
--Upload a picture from your computer to their website.
--They give you several lines of code. Copy the line of code that references Forums or Message Boards.
--Paste that code into your posting on the forum.
There are many free image hosting sites. If you search for 'free image hosting' you'll have a lot of choices.
Photobucket requires registration - 50mb of storage. You can edit and resize your pictures.
Registration not required at imageshack, photos are deleted after one year if not accessed.
